This course contains a review of the scheduling, dosing and pharmacodynamics of different pain medicine options in the post-tonsillectomy patient.

It provides an up-to-date review of the literature including morbidity associated with certain narcotic medications, the bleeding risk associated with NSAIDS, the recommendations regarding perioperative steroids, and other factors in the perioperative care of tonsillectomy patients.
