Description
Rhinosinusitis is defined as inflammation of the
nasal cavity and sinuses, and is broadly classified with both acute and chronic
forms. The diagnosis and management of the various forms is similar, but has
important distinctions. This Patient Management Perspectives discusses each of
the main forms of sinusitis and outlines the evaluation and management,
highlighting the most recent guidelines from the American Academy of Otolaryngology
– Head and Neck Surgery Foundation.
