An integrated team of otolaryngologists and advanced practice providers (APPs) is an ideal way to meet the demands of high quality, patient-centered care promoted by the evolving healthcare delivery system. The panelists will provide various approaches to business plans, including benchmarking data and metrics to assist with measuring demand, productivity, quality, and satisfaction. The panelists will consider, and contrast training and skill sets of PAs and NPs. APPs supply and demand poses recruitment challenges and tips for being competitive in the marketplace. The panelists will discuss structured training and on-boarding to provide the required knowledge base and skills needed for long-term success and maximum efficiency. Lastly, strategies for retaining otolaryngology APPs, recognizing the investment of time and resources required to achieve optimal team practice, will be discussed. An audience poll will be conducted for questions and topics of interest to enable impromptu targeted discussion with ample time for additional questions and open dialogue at the end.
