Diagnostic Evaluation of Patients with Nasal Polyp Disease (AMW)
2020 AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO Experience
This panel will explore various diagnostic tests in the evaluation of a patient with CRSwNP. The panel will explore how to use cellular or molecular mechanisms (endotypes) as an approach to assist with the identifying the phenotype of CRSwNP with the ultimate goal of achieving precision medicine - identifying biomarkers, identifying potential responders to various treatments, and improving patient management.

Description
This panel will explore various diagnostic tests in the evaluation of a patient with CRSwNP. The panel will explore how to use cellular or molecular mechanisms (endotypes) as an approach to assist with the identifying the phenotype of CRSwNP with the ultimate goal of achieving precision medicine - identifying biomarkers, identifying potential responders to various treatments, and improving patient management. Learning Objectives: 1. Review diagnostics and objective assessments in CRSwNP. 2. Discuss the associations between various inflammatory endotypes and clinical phenotypes in Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps (CRSwNP). 3. Review inflammatory markers that can be linked with particular clinical signs and symptoms.Faculty: Cecelia Damask, DO(Research funding: Myself, Sanofi/Regeneron; Royalty: Myself, Springer Nature; Ongoing: Book royalty; Honoraria: Sanofi, Astra Zeneca; Speakers: Bureau), Jean Kim, MD PhD(Nothing to Disclose), Edward McCoul, MD(Consulting Fees: Myself, Stryker), Michael Platt, MD(Nothing to Disclose), Matthew Ryan, MD(Nothing to Disclose).
