Advanced Practice Providers (APP) are increasingly available but the ideal way of utilization is still unclear to many practices. This session will provide overview and best practices to incorporate APPs in your practice. An appropriately developed APP practice can be profit center for an Otolaryngology practice. This session will provide overview of the basic training of APP, importance of an onboarding program for your APPs, utilization of APPs in the outpatient versus inpatient setting. The panelists will also review recent compliance issues related to utilization of APP in an academic setting. The professional needs of APPs will also be reviewed to allow for long term retention of well-trained APPs.
