OTOQuest Knowledge Assessment offers learners the opportunity to hone their knowledge skills through a series of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery specific self-assessment questions. These modules provide the opportunity to enhance your knowledge of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery with study questions to test your recall, interpretation, and problem-solving skills while earning CME and MOC credit.

Abstract

OTOQuest Knowledge Assessment offers learners the opportunity to hone their knowledge skills through a series of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery specific self-assessment questions while earning CME and MOC credit.The physician learner will read and analyze otolaryngology-specific questions and rationales developed by otolaryngology experts. Included in each module are thorough feedback for each question, additional reading references, appropriate images, and videos to enhance the learning experience.

Needs Assessment

The education activities of the American Academy of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery Foundation (AAO-HNSF) are designed to improve healthcare provider knowledge, competence, and performance through lifelong learning. The Foundation focuses its education activities on the needs of providers within the specialized scope of practice of otolaryngologists.

Content for each activity is designed to address the learning gaps and needs. Emphasis is placed on identified practice gaps and education needs within each of the eight otolaryngology subspecialties. Through a gap analysis process involving self-identified learning needs, otolaryngology thought leaders’ opinions, a thorough literature search, and otolaryngology subject matter expertise, knowledge self-assessment within each of the specialties is considered critical to addressing an ongoing learning need of otolaryngologists.

Target Audience

The primary audience for this activity is physicians and physicians-in-training who specialize in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, wish to enhance their knowledge skills, and/or wish to receive CME and MOC credit.

Method of Physician Participation in the Learning Process

The physician learner will read and analyze otolaryngology-specific questions and rationales developed by otolaryngology experts. Included in each module are thorough feedback for each question, additional reading references, appropriate images and videos to enhance the learning experience.

Self-Assessment Instructions

Simply answer each question, review the answer rationale, and access suggested references for more information. Your score will be calculated for the purpose of earning appropriate CME and MOC credit.
