Mentorship, Sponsorship, and Coaching: Maximizing Networks Through Each Career Stage (2022 AMW) Session
2022 AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO Experience
Sialendoscopy has changed the management of salivary gland duct calculi. The goals of this panel are to explore the published level of evidence and the science for trans-oral removal of stones with or without Sialendoscopy for submandibular gland duct calculi. Risk, benefits, and possible complications will be reviewed. A point/counterpoint 2-person debate with two leaders in the field will contrast the indication and necessity or lack thereof for Sialendoscopy for trans-oral distal, mid duct and proximal stones for selected scenarios. Do patients benefit from the use of Sialendoscopy? This panel will also study the modern indications for submandibular gland resection for calculi. Case presentations and discussion will ensue.
