In this course you will wear polarized glasses and experience anatomy as never seen in atlases or in the temporal bone laboratory. This course will enhance your conceptual model of the membranous labyrinth, of the round window and scala tympani, of the facial nerve in the temporal bone and of the geometry of the membranous labyrinth important to BPPV even if you are an experienced otologist. Anatomy will be demonstrated from standard surgical views and from novel deconstructions, reconstructions, and fly-throughs designed to emphasize key anatomic points. Anatomy is reconstructed from 100micron slices of human specimens.
