This course will provide an overview of the newly updated Clinical Practice Guideline: Cerumen Impaction. This update is tentatively scheduled to be published in June 2016. The evidence-based recommendations in this guideline are intended for all clinicians who are likely to diagnose and manage patients with cerumen impaction and apply to any setting in which cerumen impaction would be identified, monitored, or managed.
Description
This course will provide an overview of the newly updated Clinical Practice Guideline: Cerumen Impaction. This update is tentatively scheduled to be published in June 2016. The evidence-based recommendations in this guideline are intended for all clinicians who are likely to diagnose and manage patients with cerumen impaction and apply to any setting in which cerumen impaction would be identified, monitored, or managed. Learning Objectives:1: More accurately and efficiently diagnose Cerumen Impaction, with consideration given to modifying factors. 2: Reduce contraindicated interventions such as ear candling.
