Eagle Syndrome: Simplifying a Pain in the Neck (2023 AMW)
2023 AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO Experience
Eagle’s syndrome is rare and is often a diagnosis of exclusion. Because there are more common etiologies for the various symptoms that could be seen with eagles syndrome, the diagnosis is often delayed. As such, patients can suffer months or years before the diagnosis is considered. This causes difficulty for both the patient and the physician. This expert lecture will review commonly reported patient history findings and symptoms. Imaging, anatomic, and differential diagnoses considerations will also be discussed. Finally, tips and techniques for successful surgical intervention will be shared.
