Mohs Defect Reconstruction: A Case-Based Expert Panel (2023 AMW)
2023 AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO Experience
The purpose of this panel is to discuss straight-forward to complex Mohs defects that require meticulous planning and execution through a case-based discussion with experts in the field. We will investigate several subsites of the head and neck and emphasize that there are several possible options for reconstructing various defects each with their advantages and disadvantages. The panel will also emphasize the importance of restoring function as well as aesthetic appearance. This topic was specifically identified in a comprehensive gap analysis by the board and would be well bridged by this group of panelists. By the end of the talk, attendees will feel more comfortable managing defects sent over by Mohs surgeons.
