Physicians used to concentrate on being a skillful surgeon, a compassionate/empathetic thorough doctor. Nowadays, to be successful, physicians also need to deal with insurance companies, CMS, hospital/health system executives etc. As doctors we are accustomed to listening to our patients telling the truth without any spin or hidden agenda. The patients are not seeing us to negotiate. The healthcare business world is different. We are not taught "negotiation" in medical school or residency/fellowship. We hope this one hour course will fill in the void and propel you to learn even more this aspect of your career.
