PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Every otolaryngologist faces complication in their practice. In medicine, complication is defined as an unanticipated problem that arises following, and is a result of, a procedure, treatment, or illness. Some of them are life-threatening and require immediate attention, but most of the time, these complications predominantly affect the quality of life and the quality of care. They can cause headaches to the clinician given the nature of the problem, and sometimes no clear answer exists regarding their management.
