Complications of thyroid surgery can be very serious. The major complications are related to postoperative hematoma, recurrent laryngeal nerve injury, and hypoparathyroidism. These complications quite often can be predicted and prevented. This session will discuss the major complications related to thyroid surgery and emphasis will be placed on how to prevent and manage them.
