Evidenced-Based Approach to Oral Cavity Cancer, Update 2021 (AMW)
2021 AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO Experience
Oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma (OCSCC) remains a highly morbid disease with a substantial risk of recurrence and death. Rational incorporation of adjuvant or neo-adjuvant treatment regimens and new technologies is predicated on accurate patient risk stratification and an up-to-date knowledge of treatment efficacy. This expert lecture is structured as an evidence-based review of the literature guiding contemporary management of OCSCC including the use of conventional treatments, as well as new technologies and novel strategies including immunotherapy. Participants will be provided a logical framework and practical clinical tools for managing surgical and non-surgical aspects of OCSCC. This updated, interactive expert lecture will review all relevant literature regarding the contemporary treatment of OCSCC framed in “real” clinical case scenarios, including important updates from the 8th Edition AJCC staging system.
