While starting a practice, taking a new position, or transitioning to a different practice type or location is a common step in an Otolaryngology career, this remains a daunting proposition and one that we are often ill-prepared for. Many of the practice management decisions we must make are outside our expertise and comfort zone. This Panel Presentation will illuminate major topics an Otolaryngologist needs to understand to start a practice, join an existing single- or multi-specialty clinic, or accept an academic position. Presenters have extensive experience in private practice, group practice, and academic medicine, and will give their perspectives on building a successful career in Otolaryngology.
