Chronic Cough in Children (AMW) Session

Chronic cough in children is defined as lasting more than 4 weeks and is one of the most encountered chief complaints in a pediatric otolaryngology practice. The course will briefly discuss the most common causes of chronic cough in children and present a systematic approach for evaluation of cough including history and physical exam, laboratory studies, radiologic examinations, and endoscopic evaluations. The course will also review recent literature and clinical practice guidelines published on evaluation and management of cough in children. Case presentations will be included to demonstrate the principles introduced in the course.
