Antibiotics have revolutionized medical practice, but judicious use is being increasingly questioned. Antibiotics have risks of side effects such as anaphylaxis and increased drug resistance. This panel will discuss controversial topics regarding the use of peri-operative antibiotics and address the evidence that guides when they are most beneficial.
