ERAS and Post-Operative Protocols Following Head and Neck Surgery - PMP
Description
ERAS protocols were initially created for patients undergoing colorectal surgery. Implementation of comprehensive perioperative care pathways for these patients resulted in a variety of benefits including decreased hospital length of stay, a reduction in surgical complications and associated decreased costs of care. ERAS protocols are also now established targeting other surgical patient populations and most recently Otolaryngology surgical patient ERAS pathways are under development.
