Our panel will lead the audience through the new concepts underlying why chronic ear disease occurs and the essential understanding of bacteriology, immunology, biomechanics and pathology needed to effectively manage the chronically draining ear. The panel will cover why current ototopicals fail, what the best available treatments topically are today, surgical and reconstructive considerations. Part one of the session will cover the underlying background knowledge to mange chronic ears and part two will be a difficult case discussion.
