This course is intended to help the otolaryngologist pursue a safe thyroidectomy that minimizes 5 disastrous complications such as airway obstruction and death. In addition, the full spectrum of potential major complications will be comprehensively discussed and practical solutions and maneuvers to minimize their likelihood will be offered.
